Classes are designed to inspire the next generation of zookeepers! Students (3rd-5th graders) will experience what it is like to work at the zoo through games, activities, experiments, chats with zoo keepers, and up close animal encounters. Program length is 1 hr 30 min. Click here for program descriptions. 

Please note, due to the nature of class activites, space in the program is extremely limited.

Event Selection
This edition of Zoo Keeper Kids explores a day in the life of a zookeeper! We will start with our morning meeting, clean an exhibit, feed the animals, and meet a few zoo friends in the classroom.

The zookeepers here at the Greenville Zoo wear many hats, including that of Animal Trainer. This class will explore how and why we train the animals in our care, as well as best practices for working with exotic animals.

The zookeepers here at the Greenville Zoo wear many hats, including that of chef. During this class, we will design, prepare, and feed out some animal diets at the Greenville Zoo.

Life at the zoo should be fun, especially for the animals! During this class, we will discuss how we keep animals mentally healthy, make fun items for animals to explore, and meet animal visitors up close in the classroom.
